Type of Use:
- Medical Oxygen Regulator: These regulators are specifically designed for medical applications and are used in healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and home healthcare environments.
- Industrial Oxygen Regulator: Industrial regulators are designed for non-medical applications, such as welding, cutting, and other industrial processes that require oxygen.
Flow Control Mechanism:
- Continuous Flow Regulator: These regulators provide a constant flow of oxygen to the patient at a fixed rate, typically measured in liters per minute (LPM). The flow rate is manually set by adjusting the control knob on the regulator.
- Pulse Dose Regulator: Pulse dose regulators deliver oxygen to the patient in short bursts or pulses during inhalation. The regulator senses the patient's breathing and delivers oxygen accordingly, conserving oxygen and increasing efficiency. Pulse dose regulators are commonly used in portable oxygen concentrators.
- Low-Pressure Regulator: These regulators are designed to operate at low pressures, typically used for oxygen concentrators and portable oxygen devices.
- High-Pressure Regulator: High-pressure regulators are used with oxygen cylinders that contain compressed oxygen gas. They are capable of handling higher pressures, ensuring a consistent flow of oxygen from the cylinder.
- CGA (Compressed Gas Association) Regulator: These regulators feature a specific type of connection that matches the corresponding CGA standard. The connection type ensures compatibility between the regulator and the oxygen cylinder or other gas sources.
- Pin-Index Regulator: Pin-index regulators have pins on the regulator body that fit into corresponding holes on the oxygen cylinder valve. This type of connection ensures the correct alignment and prevents the use of an incompatible regulator with the cylinder.
